About the race
Swim from Cockshott Point into England's largest lake. Novice and sprint riders loop back via Ambleside, while the standard course circles the whole of Windermere. Runs use local roads and lakeshore paths, with duathlon, aquathlon and aquabike options too.

Open water events usually need a wetsuit below a set water temperature. Unlicensed athletes pay a small day licence fee.
